PONSONBY CRICKET CLUB.
Tjpjl adjourned annual meeting' of tho Pon- : sonby Cricket Club was held last evening in the Suffolk Hotel. There was a large | attendance of members. Officers for the season were elected as follows :—Captain v Mr Jas. Cook ; Secretary, Mr H. Fountain ; Treasurer, Mr A. J. Edwards. Committee :—Messrs S. Weston, C. J. Owen, W. J. Geddis, A,, .t. Edwards, and H. Cookc. T/h,o club colours were altered to blucand white. Some discussion took placo on the proposed limit of members, but the specified number having already been exceeded, it was decided to increase the limit to 30 and form two elcvons. It was also agreed that the ground subscription should bo paid ; practice on the Domain and Ponsonby ground being thus ensured. Nov-, ember 9th was reoemmended as the dr.ib of the Thames match, while it was drifted that the first match should be 'i/^iist Avondale on October 6th.
