Sir Anthony Mus^ave, the Governor of Queensland, leaves by the steamer Sorata, which sails for Melbourne to-day.
Tho French Army In Tonquin.
Ad.niral Courbot has been appointed Commander-in-chief of French operations ill Tonquin.
Victorian Military Appointments.
Tho Duke of Cambridgo has approved of tho following military appointments mado in tlio Victorian land forces:—Major Disney, of tho Royal Artillery, as commandant ; Captain Fellowe of Ist Battalion of East Surrey Regimont, as Staff Officer of Infantry ; and Major Brownrigg, of Riflo Brigade, as Brigade Maj»r and head of the School of Instruction.
