'Ike local agent of tho P. and O, Steamship Company baa received a telegram reporting that tho steamship Pcshawui, wi'h tho iuward mail 'ti-i Suez and Brindisi, dated September 26, came iuto collision with a barque shortly after leaving Colombo, Cejlon, and was put back to effect repairs, 'i he damage sustained by the Peshawar is not of a serious nature, and it is expected that she will start again on the 23rd instant. The Pcshawnr returned to Colombo, having in tow tbe ba-que Glcnroy with which she collided. Bpth vessels aro damaged. ACCIDENT TO AN IMMIGRANT PHIP. SYDNEY. October 21. The ship Northampton, bound for this port with immigrants, struck onareffoff Port Hacking, but was successfully towed I into Botany Bay, and beached there, and the immigrants safely landed. Tho casualty occurred owing tp a heavy log which obscured the land.
