MINING NEWS.
Succiss.—The mine manager reports ; Since my last report I have got about Boxs of specimen gold. The reef Is getting more like what it was in the level above, and the gold floor than it waa lower down in the stopes in the main level going south. Tbe ground is easier. There is no obange In the reef since last report. Loose prospects of gold in every breaking down. Nothing seen In the stone. The Low Level: There Is nothing fresh to record. The contractor is making good progross.—Peter Rwd, November 21st, 1881. -
Hopeful.—The following telegram waß received to-day:—" Obtained 301bs.good specimens. More gold shewing.—X. Howse, manager." Queen of Beauty.—The manager, rejiorto. under date November 22, that many imp_ovements, including necessary repairs, have been effected in the mine during the week. The several bad places in the winding shaft have been repaired, and the cages are now working satisfactorily.
