At a meeting held at the Breakwater this morning the.following telegram received by the Mayor from the Government was read : "The Government cannot give an answer re unemployed." Mr March is to see Mr Calcutt. If there ia no news from him Mr March goes to Christchurcb, but returns on Monday or Tuesday. The tele, gram was received with groans and hisses. A further meeting also takes place tomorrow.
