The Charge of Rev. Strong.
The Committee in the case of the Key, V. Strong made their report to-day. They consider that the article written by Mr Strong for the Melbourne "(Review " is involved in so mucli ambiguity that it is dilliciilt ty unperntiiud what tho author moans. The Committee did not lind that Mr Strong gave auy opinion oi his own which could be construed as offensive to the Confession of Faitli, but found that the article itself was opposed to tho Confession and the Standard of the Church, They further consider that the article complained of tends to ignore the miraculous facts of tho Gospel, that its tendency is inconsistent with the infallible truth and divino authority of Scripture, and that its drift seems to lead to the conclusion that tlnre is no delinito doctriue as to the Atoue> ment. Mr Strong is to be given an opportunity to reply. Notice of motion has been given in the Presbytery that all probationers and ministers, on being inducted, shall sign a formula agreeable to the Westminster Confessiou ; and it is proposed to make this retrospective"
