THK NIGHT ROLL,
Two names were legible on this roll: KingTurpin, who pleaded guilty to" taking too much on't," and Katherine Keen,; aS good-looking young person, who was found reposing in Nelson-street, in the moonlight. The gallant Turpin, supposed to be an assumed name, pleaded- guilty at the risk of 5s and cost which he paid. Katnerke, "keen-ly" alive to her position, nodded and blushed, and contended that her pro«tration of physical energies was produced by the hot weather. Constable' Lamb deposed to finding. Katheiine full-length on the grass, fle raised her up; but she could not stand, and said she was drunk. ~.„,:»,■, Prisoner: Your Worship, permit' me io say I was not. drunk ; am sorry that my solicitor is not here. >•. ■ : .
