THE GOVERNOR* TOUR,
WELLINGTON, this day. His Excellency tho Governor makes a tour of tho colony early next year, visiting the North Island districts first and the South Inland, subsequently meeting Lady Gordon at the Bluff in March. THE LIBRAFIANSBIP. There are likely to be numerous applicants for tho post of Parliamentary Librarian, vacant by the death of Mr McCall. The appointment rests in the committee of both Houses, subject to approval by the GDvernor. RETURN OF MR BRYCE. Mr Bryco returned from Wangauui last night overland. The natives have discontinued fencing, and merely guard the gap in the fence where the road crosses a field of sown wheat.
