The New Town at Rotorua.

OHINEMUTCT, this day. The survey ot the new township is progressing rapidly. Mr Mitchell, who was detained in Taupo on important Government business, was here yesterday co arrange the boundaries and Mr Edwards superintends the survey. It is expected the work will be finished by the end of the present month. Gibert Mair, Esq., has just made the final payment of £5000 on account of Raingaroa No. lon Government account. The native title Is extinguished over 100,000 acres. The foundation blocks for the Palace Hotel ■was laid to-day. There iB likely to be a large competition for the 40-acre tarms outside the township.
