REWI AND MOKAU.
Mil W. H. Guacis has been authorised by the chief Kewi to contradict a report which was telegraphed from Wellington to the press on the 4th October to the following liffect: —"Rewi telegraphs to a member that ho knows nothing of any company at Mokau, and has sent a messenger to Mokau to stop any movements in that direction." Kewi desires to state that he has not sent any telegram respecting Mokau affairs to any member or other person since the Grey Government went out of office.
