HELENSVILLE LICENSING COURT.
The quarteily sitting of this Court Was lield at Helensville yesterday.
Paiii Hotel.—Mr Dufaur, from Auckland, appeared for tho applicant, aud it having bscn shown that hotel accommodation was required, the Bench granted the application. Cosmopolitan Hotel (Aratapu).—Mr Dufaur appeared for the applicant, Mr Michael O'Connor, aud Mr Coleman for the objector. This case excited very great interest, and was very closely contested, but nftcr a long and patient hearing the Bench decided to grant the application.
Immediately after the close of tho Licensing Court, a sitting ot the R.M. Court was held. There was only ono case, Goldio against Sinclair, for the value of a dog shot by the defendant. Mr Dufaur appeared for tho plaintiff, and atter a good mnny witnesses had boon examined, tho Court gave judgment for tho plaintiff for £5 and costs. —(Own CoitREsroNDENT.)
