This has been the quietest d«y in camp ; little or no interest being taken in the small hnre matches. Every one that could get away has left. A special train leaves for town to morrow morning. At 3 p.m. the prizes will be distributed. The 900 yards range of the 4th match was commenced directly after the 1000 yards range in the 9th match was over. It was only finished at 5 p.m., too late to communicate the 1000 yards ranee, so the watch can only bo completed early to-morrow morning. The scores for the first raugc are: Skinner (Auckland), 24; Hutchiusou, 23 ; Willson, 2S ; Somerville, 21 ; Puraell, 18.

The Rifle Camp was struck at eleven, this morning, and the representatives left for town by special train, where the prizes will be presented this afternoon. A meeting of the members of the Association was held at the camp last night, when a resolution to the -following effect was pas-sed, to be forwarded to '.the Executive Committeo for approval : —" That no points for drill count in any match ; that a sum oi money be given to the winner in matches North and South, to be equally divided among them. Tnat ranges bo properly surveyed and morked out. That in all-comers, or those open to all Volunteers, distance should not exceed 500 yards. That there should not be loss than five matches for eaclx belt. That a programme for next meeting be issued three months before it takes place."
