THIS EVENINT_..^RG.D; CHAPLIN. The drama of "Forsaken" was performed -for the sixth time on Saturday evening. It was followed by the last acts of Richard 111, in. which Mr Dillon played the conscience, stricken monarch. - , . , . ;_. >To-night, Mr G..D. Chaplin, the popular tragedian and comedian, will make-his first appearance in the famous poetic drama of! "Enoch Arden, or Under a Palm." Mr Chaplin himself undertakes the title role, which he has acted with wonderful success throughout Australia. He will be supported by Mrs Walter Hill as the heroine,: Annie Lee, Mr J. B. Steele as Philip Ray, Mr Biirford as' Reuben, Miss' Morgan as Alice, and Miss Lily May as Esthei-jArden. The new scenery embraces—A village on the coast of Cornwall, Annie's cottage, Enoch's departure in the ship Good Fortune, and a desert island in the tropics. The piece will be interspersed with apropos songs and dances, so that no one need fear the tragic interest being overpowering. We anticipate a pronounced success.
