JUDGMENTS FOR PLAINTIFFS. Winks and Hall v. Reed.—Claim £56 17s ; Mr Alexander for plaintiff. DEFENDED CASES.
The Golden Arrow Goldmining Co. v. Bank of New South Wales. Mr Alexander for the plaintiffs ; Mr Mackechnie for the defendants. This was an application on behalf of the Golden Arrow Goldmining Company, now being wound up, to confirm the appointment of Mr J. D. Wickham as liquidator.—Adjourned to next Court day. The Tradesmen's Athletic Sports. — Sheppard v. Graham, claim £66 10s for breach of agreement.—Mr Hesketh for the plaintiff, Mr-Jas. Russell and Mr Tyler for the defence.—ln this case it will be remembered that the first demurrer of the defence at the last sitting was that, Mr Sheppard could not bring an action against Mr Graham, as the agreement was made between Mr Graham aud the Club, and-not between Mr Graham and the plaintiff, and that the plaintiff, as was manifest by the agreement, had contracted as agent for a disclosed principal, the principal being the Tradesmen's Athletic Club. His Honor, after hearing counsel on both sides, reversed judgment. At the commencement of the proceedings this morning His Honor stated that he had not been able to make up his mind on this point, The case was, therefor, adjourned to the next Court day. Browne v. McColl.-Claim, £60; deposit and damages.-Mr Hesketh for tne plaintiff, and. Mr J. B. Russell for the defence.— SC paton v. O'Halloran.-^Claim, £100; money payable.-Mr Hesketh for plaintiff, and Mr Tyler for the defence.-The> suit was brought to recover the sum of *IW, bein" money which became payable^ to the nlaiutiff by the defendant on the rescinding, by mutual consent, of an agreement made between the plaintiff and the defendant on tie 13th February, 1878, for the sale of the Ngatumauga Block, and which rescinc.ing took place ou the 26th March last.Mr Hesketh opened the case for the plaintiff.
