MR. ALFRED BUCBXAND'S WEEKLY REPORT. At the Haymarket, on Friday, August 16, sound hides brought from 3id to 3Jd the Ib.; best sheepskins, 3s 9d to 5s 2d each; tallow, 30a the cwt. Fodder plentiful, and at late~values, varying with quality from 4s 9d to 65,6 d theowt; inferror wheat, 4s 3d ; maize, 4s 3d to 4s 6d the bushel. The hooded buggy, £41 10s. Heavy draught horses, Mo to £49; medium draught, £26 to £30; light harness, from £15 to £37; and a draught entire, £90. On Wednesday, at Drury, the weather was very inclement, but it did not prevent a full muster of store cattle and numerous attendance. The prices obtained weregood. Calves brought from £2 23 6d to £3 2s 6d; 12 to 18 months old, £3 to £17s Gd; dry cows, &i to £610s; dairy cows, £6 to £9; grown steers, £6103 to £7 2s 6d. At Remuera, on Thursday, but few dairy cows were yarded, a.rS those sold at late values. Ftore cattle wer<- n usual numbers, but of indifferent qualif' . and were dull of sale. Hoggets, in low condition, brought 8s to Odeach; aged ewes. C= Dd Fat sheep were in short supply, and eiightly higher in value. Prices ranged from vi to 4d per lb. Pigs were' fairly represented, and in bettes; enquiry than of late.
