THEATRE ROYAL.
The melodrama of "Forsaken1" was repeated to? the third time at the theatre last night, and drew a moderate house. The acting of Messrs Burford, Musgrave, and Emmett, provoked constant applause, whilst Mr Dillon as the Waif. Mrs Hill as Mabel, Miss Morgan as Susy, and Mr Steele as Harry, proved as successful as heretofore. O^MondayJ^^^ makes his first a^earance^xnAu^land as Mr Chaplin created a great sensation in Sydney during Mr Creswick's stay there, by daring to nlay in exactly the same parts as. the famous tragedian himself. Strange to say his "Hamlet w!l declared by the " Sydney Morning Herald » critic, who has great experience, to be superior in nearly all respectsto Mr Creswiok's, and Mr Chaplin played thecharacter for. many nights drawing immense^houses. As.Richeheu he.iis also remarkably good. •• Enoch Arden»wai, as we stated yesterday, be splendidly mounted.
