AUCKLAND PRESBYTERY.
AEJOURNED MEETING.
An OHDINAKY adjourned meeting of the Auckland Presbytery, held in St. Andrews church this morning. Present : Revs. J. Macky (moderator), G. Brown (clerk), R. F. McNicol, R. Somerville, T. Norrie, D. Brnce, G. -B. Mouro, McKinney, and Messrs Macky and Peacock.
SUSTENTATION FUND.
The Clerk read the extract minute of a meeting of the Executive Committee ©f the Sustentation Fund, at which a resolution was agreed to, to the effect that the most practical form of bringing the Sustentatiou Fund scheme into operation would be to act in accordance wite clause 9. This clause provided that congregations which give £250 and more to their ministers, and who desired to pay1 the money directly, might do so by sending voucherst estifying to the payments of the stipend. Rev. G. B. Mutiro moved, " That the Presbytery act on ihe resolutions of the Executive Committee." Seconded by Rev. R. Somerville, and agreed to. It was decided to appoint delegates to visit the congregations, and instructjthem in the provisions of the Sustentation Fund. It was agreed on the motion of Rev I).. Bruce that the delegates be disposed as follows:—For St. Andrew's, St. James', St. Stephen's, St. Luke's, St. David's, and North Shore—Revs Macky, Brown, Sommerville, and Messrs Lamb and Macffarlane. For Otahuhu, Papakura, Pukehohe, Onehunga, and Wbau—-Revs Macnicol, Monro, Carrick, Runciman, and Messrs Macky, Peacock, J. kamb, and T. Macflarlane. For Waikato, —Revs Norrie, Bruce, and Mr Rhodes. For Thames, Tauranga, Opotiki, and Katikati—Revs Macnieol and Bruce. For Coromandel—Revs Neill and Bruce. For Waipu and Whangarei—Revs
1 McKinney and" Bruce,"*" and Mr Thompk. son. - - Seconded by Rev T. Nome, and agreed to. It was agreed that copies of the report of the Sustentation Committee should be distributed |for the information of congregations. It wa3 also agreed that Revs. Macnicol, Bruce, and Mr Peacock should make arrangements for a public meeting, at which future information might be given. HOUR OF MEETING. Mr Peacock gave notice of motion — ■' That the hour of meeting be one o'clock. " The meeting then terminated.
