PARIS EXHIBITION AWARDS.
LONDON, August 15th. The Food Jury, at the Paris Exhibition, recommend gold medals to be presented to the Melbourne and Sydney Meat Preserving Companies ; also other awards to Ballarat, Queensland, Adelaide, aud Melbourne.
[KBUTJOtS SPECIAL CABLEGRAM.] Tne Russians and Central Asia. The Austrians Still Retreating. ST. PETERBBURGH, August 35. It is semi-officially stated here that the Russian Expeditionary Force wiw to* have been dispatched to Central Asia: when the relations between England.and ituesia were critical. The order was subsequent!^ cancelled. The Austriaus in Bosnia are still retreating.
