VOLUNTEER INTELLIGENCE.

The monthly inspection parade of the volunteer corps in the Auckland district for the month of December will take place on the following dates in full dress uniform, and with arms and accoutrements for open air parade and march route, viz., Wednesday 12fc>>, Grammar School Cadets, at drill shed; Monday 17th, Engineer Cadets, at drill shed; Wednesday 19th, Nixon Light Horse, Mounted Artillery with guns; Hngineers, Victoria Rifles, No. 4 Rifles. Scottish Rifles and Naval Brigade at drill shed, for open air parade at 7.30, and march route. A punctual attendance is necessary. Saturday 22nd, Otahuhu Company at Otahuhu, at 7.30. Intimation having been received from the governor of the Auckland gaol that certain works were completed, the restrictions prohibiting rifle practice during working hours are now withdrawn, and rifle practice can now bs carried out from sunrise to sunset. _
