In the race for the|Randwick Plate, Dean was first and Robinson Crusoe second. Three started.
The steamer Lord Ashley, from Newcastle to Melbourne, was wrecked last night off the coast. She was insurqjLin the New Zealand Insurance Company for 35^,000. All hands were saved.
[The New Zealand Insurance Co. re-in-sured their line of #7,000 on the "Lord Ashley" down to £o00; the National of New Zealand have £500, and the Standard £750, of the £6,300 re-Insured.]
