Mr Arthur's general weekly sale to-day was well attendad. Potatoes sold at 4s scl to 4" 9d ; carrots. 4s ; pumpkins, 2g lOd ; half-chests tea. Is 3d to Is lOd ; boxes, 16a 6d to 22s ; Canterbury hams and bacon, 9.} d to lid ; provincial cheese, 6?, dto 7|d ; butter (various quality), 5d to lOd ; and salt beef. 2d.

Messrs M. Jones and Co, had a large attendance at their central sale rooms, and the general produce, proivsions, and poultry realised very good prices. The sale of leather ex Stanley Castle, more or less damaged, fetched Is Gd to 2s ll^d per lb, and the chamois Ss Sd.

Messrs Cochrane and Son, of the Fortstreet mart, sold tho household furniture, pictures, clothing, and swiss literature, the property of the late Mr A. H. Diethelm today at fair returns.

Mr Greenwood reports his sale of this day as follows : Fowls, Is lid to 2s lOd ; ducks, 28 4d to 3s 2d ; turkey, 2s Gd to 4s Gd ; geese, 3s to 4s ; potatoes, 4s Gd to 5s Gd ; bacon, Gd to 8d per lb ; butter, 4d to 7^d ; other articles about as usual.

Mr George Sibbin's Corner Mart sale of groceries and provisions realised the following prices : potatoes, £4 to £5 103 per ton ; butter, 5d to 7id ; sugar, 4f d ; tea (boxes), 28s ; half-cheßts,~2s6d ; candles, lid; ffonr, £13 to £15 ; cheese, 4d to 7id ; raisins. s|; sardines, 9s 3d ; oats, 3s ; maize, 4a 7d to 5a ; bran, 7s 6d ; vmtmeal 2d ; tobacco, 4s Id ; kerosene, 23 6d ; currants, a lot to go South, 4}d.
