MELBOURNE.-THIS DAY. The Government has declined to interfere in Stevensons' case, casting the responsibility of the action on the Crown Law Officer and Customs Department, Another prosecution will not be proceeded with. From private advice 3 Lillywhite's Cricket Team will be here before Christmas. An open verdict was returned at the enquiries into the recent fires. It has transpired that Harpers were insured for £13,000.
