Serious Charge of Assault with Intent.
FotTR young men 'have been arrested on the charge of assaulting a married couple of the name of Price. Mr Price's statement is, that on Saturday niglrt, he and his wife were walking together, and, wh«n a few hundred yards beyond the Star Hotel, Newton, he was set upon by two young men and violently handled. TCis wife was then knocked down and treated in a shameful &nd abominable manner. The young men after bein^ formally charged with the offence have been remanded until Thursday.
