(From our own Correspondent.) This day. Papers by the Suez mail contain intellioence of the attempted suicide of Captain Seven! of the ship" Auckland m Glasgow __n .unwed out of a railway carnage riJelff forty miles an hour. When Sed up, his throat was found to be fib cut. He married Miss Spronte, school. Stress, when in Dunedin last Christmas. MlaSt reports his recovery was doubtful.
