The Bismarck got a few specimens yesterday in the new contract taken for the tunnel to the Tokatea boundary. Bennett's Battery is driving 8 head on Bismarck stuff, which promises a payable yield. The City of Auckland is getting gold from the stopes and drivo ; 200 lbs of specimens
are on ham
The Three Brothers ciushing is looking very well at the Nil Battery. * The Plutus Battery still crushing from their own mine.
Captain Nancarrow arrived by the San SVanciseo route to inspect the Kapanga mine for Engli«h shareholders. He is highly pleased with the prospects of the mine and district generally. Mrs Barron, who died in. confinement, at Whangapoua, on Wednesday, leaves three children.
