THE NEW DRAMATIC COMPANY.

It will have been noticed that a new dramano company, under engagement to Mr Delias, have arrived in this city by the Hero, from Sydney ; and will commence a series of splendid dramas and comedies as early as possible, of which, due notice will he given. Mr Collier, a gentleman well-known *n this city, and who has long striven in favour of the popular drama, will be at the head of affairs. The members of this company have won a good reputation in Australia and New South Wales. The Melbourne and Sydney journals say they are the best company that lave appeared in those representative cities. These artistes are all new to the people of .New Zealand, with the exception of Mr Aveling. Thecompany includes besides Miss May Howard) and Messrs. Harry Douglass, Holloway, Saville, Sweeney, and Stai-ke, Mrs. C. Jones, who represents the old woman to the life, and is said to be unequalled in this special impersonation ; Miss Patty Holt, the great character actress ; and Sam Poole, the original comedian. The company will open with " The Wandering Heir," which had a lengthened run in Melbourne, and was a favourite for about 600 nights at one of the leading London theatres. Mr Kemp, the well-known scenic artist, is now on his way from the South, and will, on arrival, be engaged on new scenery for this and other dramas in preparation.
