FIJI BANKING AND COMMERCIAL COMPANY (LIMITED.)
The ordinary annual; meeting of Shareholders of this Company was held this afternoon in Shortland-street, to receive the Director's report, andj to appoint three Directors and two auditors. F. Whitaker Esq. in the chair ; who declared the meeting duly constituted.
The chairman then read the first report of the directors ending 30th September lasfc which was adopted. The report was encouraging, the balancesheet shows that the preliminary expeuses have been small, as also has the expeuditure on bank premises; and the profits of the company, though not large, must be considered under the circumstances as satisfactory. The directors propose to carry over the balance at the credit of profit and loss to the next account. Eeceipts, £5,112; expences, £3,027 18s 3d. The report and balance-sheet were unanimously adopted. Messrs Whitaker, Gillies and Stone were re-eJected directors, and Messrs Battley and Buchannan- auditors, at a salary of £5s 5a per annum.
