The Tasmanian Club entertained his Excellency the Governor at a farewell dinner. The Governor made an excellent speech, on the relations which exist between England and the colonies, and between the colonies themselves. He also dwelt upon the evils of protective tariffs. —The ladies of Tasmania have presented Mrs Ducane with an address and casket; containing 150
sovereigns,
