Fourteen persons, convicted of taking part IfZ noti! a M. edenaa ' Northern Prussia, last June, have been sentenced to terms of imprisonment varying from six months to three years. Bismarck's son recently fought a duel with pistols at Dusseldorff, with Zearskowan an officer of infantry. The encounter took place at six o clock ib the morning. Ten paces separated the combatants. Taree shots were to have been fired by each, but the first shot ot the German Chancellor's son took tff.ct in ins adversary's abdomen, and soon afterwards proved fatal. It is rumoured that the Dowager Queen of ■Bavaria is about to embrace Catholicism.
