ACCIDENT ON MOANATAIRI CREEK.
On Tuesday, about 8 p.m., a3 a young man named Caul was coming down the trnnv.iy, to attend the complimentary dinner to Mr. Byrne, by some means or other he made a false step, and was precipitated down n very steep part of the bank, and feel heavily into the bed of the creek. An alarm was al. once raised, and he was assisted to his home, when it was found that he had received very severe injuries. As early as possible, this morning, he was removed, with care, to the hospital, and on being examined by the medical staff ifc was discovered that the hip was dislocated, and the body very badly bruised. Under skilful treatment the patient is now as well as can be expected.
