WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
OKAINS BAY BRANCH Mrs Boleyn (president) preided over a good attendance. ,at the October meeting of the Womens' Institute. During the afternoon Mrs Boleyn read a chapter from "Biown Bread" by Miss B. E. Baughan, which was much appreciated.
The competitions were: Child's cotton frock— Miss Nancy Moore 1; Handwarked sandwich D'Oyley—Miss Mary Moore 1; Flowers—Mrs Joe Har ris 1; Special prize Smocked frock— Mrs G. Boleyn.
The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames Joe Harris senr., J. Thacker and Miss Elsie Harris.
