ST. PETER'S CLUB CONCERT
SUCCESSFUL ENTERTAINMENT.
A very successful concert was held last night in the Oddfellows' Hall, Akaroa when numbers oi. the St. Peter's Young People's Club gave an entertainment full of variety. There
was a large and nppreciative audience. Rev. €. L. Wilson, who acted as announcer slated no encores would be allowed' and he had some trouble in enforcing this rule. The Club is to be congratulated on their performance which was bright and amusing throughout. There were a few good musical items interspersed with smali' sketches in the first half. In the second half the boys gave the farce "Bubbles" and this was excellently done. 'Mrs Julius acted as stage manager and the acting reflected great credit upon her tutoring. The young people both boys and girls have been to a lot of trouble to prepare this entertainment and the result was a great credit to them 1 all. The stage had been transformed' into a drawingroom and 1 proved l a good setting for the entertainment. Mrs Julius, Misses Keegan, B. Wheich and L. Kearney acted as accompanists.
