MARKET REPORTS.
The Bank of New Zealand have received the following advice from their London Office as at close of business last week :—
Butter—Firm, 182s to 184s per cwt.
Cheese.—Steady. • White 93s per cwt; Coloured, 94s per cwt.
Frozen Meat—The market for wether mutton is becoming firmer owing to small supplies available. Smaller supplies of ewes have caused prices to harden. The demand for heavy-weight lambs is' good. There is a steady trade in beef at rather better values.
Wethers, light, 6d> to 6 3 /4 d' per lb, Wethers, heavy, 5d to 5%cl per lb, Ewes to 4%tl per lb. Lambs, 2s, 8d to B%d per lb. Lambs, Bs, 7%d to BVicl per lb. Lambs, 4s, 7%d' to Bcl per lb. Lambs, seconds, 7 1 bd to 8d per lb Ox hinds, 5%d to sl{<d per lb. Ox fores, 3%d' to 4d per lb. Cow hinds, 4%d to 5d per lb. Cow fores, 3Hd to 3%d per lb.
