The Inhalation of Bro H. Mottram, as W.M., of the Phimix Lod_re, Akaroa, took place on ■.Vednead-.y The Installation was nude by Bro F. C. Binns, D.G.8., assisted by Grand Lodge Offic«rs, Bros VViddiwson, U.G.W., and Cleary, W.M., of Lodge Unanimity, D.C. There was a large attendance of merr.bers, and the ceremony was of a most imposing nature. The following is the list of officers for the ensuing year: — Bro H. Mottram. W.M.; VV. Lelievre, S.W.;W. Pigeon, J.W.; 8. _. Wolfreys, Treasurer ;W. B. Ingram, Secretary; C. Murphy, S.D ; S. E. Wolfreys, Acting J.D. ; G. B. Mackay, I.G. In the evening there was a Ball at the Oddfellows' Hall, at which the Masons and their friends mustered well, between fifty and sixty being present. The floor was good, the music in excellent time, and the supper all that could be desired, and the whole affair went very merrily from first to last. A pleasing feature was the presence of so many Masonß and their families from the Bays aid Little River. It is impossible to speak too highly of the manner in whioh the Bill Committer, assisted by some of the Past Mattels and other members of the Lo:lge, cairied out their duties, for the management was simply perfection, every guest being thoroughly seen after and provided with every creature comfort.
