From Birdling Bro*>. a-r under: — We grant the Akasoi County Coursing Club permission to course on thai property known as fiirdlir-g-'s Flat, and we will protect it from all trespassers for the Club. From Mr W. J. Lelievre enclosing resignation. Received with regret. The following officers and committee were then appointed ;—Patron, R. H. Rhodes, Esq. ; President, H. D. Buchanan, Esq.; Vice Presidents, Messrs W.H Montgomery, W. Birdling, jr., R. Latter, V. V. Masefieli, S. Nutt, senr., J. Parkinson, W. and J. Coop, Leicester Matson, T. Ware, G. Tabart and J. F. Buchanan ; Committee, Messrs E F. Lelievre(chairman),B. Henning, W. Warner, A. Lelievre, J. Bell, G. Oldridge, G. Mackay, G. Robinson, Frank Shadbolt, T. Nutt, g. Harris. J. Flynn, T. Masefield and J. Curry ; Hon Bee and Treasurer, H. C Jacobson. Victoria Day falling on a Sunday, it was resolved the first meeting be held on Monday, Muy 25th, extended to May 26th, if necessary.
It was resolved entries cloee with the Hon Sec at the Mail Office, Akaroa, on Thursday, May 14th, and acceptances at the Lake Forsyth Arms, at Little River, on Saturday, May 23rd. Entries and acceptances 10s each.
The stakes were fixed at £25: Ist dog £15, second £5, 3rd £3, 4th and sth dogs £1 each.
'J he Fon. Sic. was requested to write to Messrs Birdling Bros., thanking them for their courtesy to the Club.
After a vote of thanks to the chair, the meeting adjourned to May 14th, at tha Criterion Hotel, Akaroa.
