The Chairman and Mr J, Montgomery reported bhat Mr Nubt had acoepted the tender of Mr Bwanson for the ereotion of the grand stand at £158. It had been found, however, that there was not sufficient height under the grand stand for the rooms required, and an agreement had been made with the contrastor to raise it 18 inches, at an extra coot of £5, which they had guaranteed on behalf of the club. _ Tbe grand stand had been placed on the «ite of the present saddling paddook and it had therefore become neoessary to extend the limits of the paddock in the direction of the road and entrance gate This would of course necessitate expense for extra fencing.
