Little River District School Com- . MITTEE. T -The monthjy meeting , of this Cornwas held on Tuesday'eveniug May 4th. The members present 'were! , Messrs G. T» Sefton (chairman), T* Radford, J. Folejy-Ht Thbmau, Ji Flynn and Joseph Wright. Correspondence was read from tbe Education Board re the nomination of a member to fill an extraordinary vacancy on the Board, and ale> re teachers' salaries, also from Bank of New South cheques for ttie Tenders fo f r school cleaning werefcorwil&erecl, andit'wae proposed by Mr Thomas, seconded by Mr Kadtord and carrfed that Mrs Curlings tender of £14 7s 6d be accepted for oleaning the Main achoolj and Miss A. Foley's tender of £8 for keeping the Side school clean for the ensuing twelve mont&e. It was proposed bj Mr Radford, seconded by Mr Wright, and osrried, that the <?choola be closed after the Inspeetora examination, and reopen on tho 27th May. On the motion of Mr Fiynn, seconded by Mr Foley, it was decided that the next ordin»ry meeting of the Committee ehould be held on the first Tuesday in July. It was resolved that the Omniittee take no action in the matter of nominating a member to fill the vacancy on the Education Board. Mr Foley was authorised to procure two cords of firewood for -the uae of the Side school, and. the . Chairman was requested to procure a new minute-book. The meeting then tei ruinated.
