It was decided a petition should be prepared and signed for presentation »o Parliament, asking tor more equitable railway rates between Lyttelton and Cbristclaurcfl ; also that said petition -should be ready ol Friday next for signature at the Sale Yards. A good deal of re-fltiae business was transacted and it waa specially mentioned that Mr Sawers was (ia response to the Association's reqiest) visiting Peninsula dairy farms »nd giving useful instructions.
