Remarks—Tlie schnoi has made a marked advance in efficiency since I last examined it two yesrs ago ; and more especially is the imorovement nnt'ceable in t'ro subjects taken in oral examination. For several years 1 found it a moat tying ordeal to elicit any information from the pupils of this sobool by oral questioning ; bnt now all the children, without escepiion in Ihe lower classes, and a considerable number of those in the upper division, answer brightly nni intelligently to the best of their ability, and render the examiner's ta „ a cnmpimtive'y light one. Of such promise is the work presented in this examination that I confidently predict a large measure of success for the school in tho immediate future, if only a good average attendance cm be maintained.

L. B. Wood, Inspector
