AUCKLAND MECHANICS’ INSTITUTE. ' OPENING OF THE LIBRARY. THE Members of the Institute are respectfully informed that the Library will be opened for the issue of Books, at seven o’clock on the Evening of Friday, the 30th instant, and thereafter, for the. reception and delivery of from ihe Hours of 7 to 9 o’clock, every Tuesday and Friday Evenings, The Reading-Room will also be opened as soon as the necessary arrangements can be , made. Gentlemen who have kindly promised Donations of Books, in addition to those already i collected, are earnestly invited to have them iready on the call of the Librarian. ; In accordance with the Library Regulations, | Books are obtained either by Donation, Loan, 'or Purchase. Books lent may be withdrawn, lon giving a fortnight’s notice. Books intended for sale must be left with the Librarian, and the price specified. Works not purchased by the Committee, wid be returned within one week. Members are reminded that, before they can enjoy the Privileges of the Library, One Quarter’s Subscription must be paid in advance. Lectures are in Course of Preparation on interesting subjects ; —particulars of which will be announced in a few days. (By order of the Committee,) J.
