A number of loeal sports called on Mr John Leamy, Omakau, on Tuesday evening of last week to wish him the best of health and happiness in his new residence. The room was decorated for the occasion and presented a eosy appearance. A clinker briek fireplace attracted the eye on entering. Mr Pat Donnelly hurriedly showed the visitors round the garden and on their return Mr Leamy unearthed a quart bottle of old lavender water which was very much appreciated. At this stage everyone wanted to tell a real new one and vietory fell to Mr Frank Donnelly who had to pass round the bottle. Mr Kilgour here discovered that the bowser was empty and after complimenting Mr Leamy on the convenient building he had built the party sang "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow" and "Auld' Lang Syne" and left for home well pleased with the evening spent in Mr John Leamy 'a new home.
