The greatest novelties in the amusement lioe will be presented to the Alexandra public in the town hall on Wednesday next, 17th iost. Coming direct from London, Paris, and New York, the very home of novelties, the Kami I tons bring all the latest sensations. Included iu the company is Abomah, the tallest lady in the world, and £5 is offered to anyone who can span the lady or reach to the top of her extended hand. Nadine, the White Mahatma, who lately caused much talk and discussion in Wellington, appears with the company, as does also Dr Ro we, the great American magician aud entertainer. Miss Vere.Hamilton, the Australian songstress, has been specially engaged for the tour, also in conjunction with the Hamilton's the well known Fathe pictures are shown. The Wanganui Herald thus speaks: " The pictures were displayed on an unusually large scale, and with clearness which left nothing to be desired. The subjects, too, possessed the pleasing feature of being entirely new, for which the audience were devoutly grateful. The series of scenes from the opera ( Esmeralda,' some of which were beautifully colored, were simply perfection. Musical and orchestral effects are presented to the audience, while the stage production is such as certainly never seen in the colony before." Patrons will have a good night's entertainment, aud a matinee for children will he given at 3 30 on Wednesday afternoon, when children will be admitted to all parts for 6d.
