I A very pleasing function took place I at the Criterion Hotel, Alexandra, on Wednesday evening of last week, when about 30 of our leading citizens met t&; bid farewell to Mr Adam McDonald(driver of Craig and Oo.'s mail coach) on the occasion of his last trip to Alexandra. The Mayor (Mr Geo Spencer) occupied the chair and, in the course of a neat speech, he highly eulogised Mr McDonald's capabilities as a " Knight of the Ribbons."
