FARMERS TO MEET PRIME MINISTER ,(P.A.)J WELLINGTON, N0v..22. The Government has invited the representatives of the farmers to attend a conference with the Prime Minister and the Minister of Agriculture and Marketing on Friday. This was announced by the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. S. G. Holland) to-night. “The Government wishes to consult the farmers’ representatives concerning the problems associated with present supplies and prices of wool and to convey to them the latest information in the possession of the Government,” said Mr Holland.
“The Government and the various farmers’ organisations have been giving an immense amount of study to the problem, and the purpose of the conference is to have a frank exchange of opinions,” said Mr Holland.
