SPINE INFECTION

SIR STAFFORD CRIPPS (Rec. 8.50 a.m.) BERNE, Nov. 21. Sir Stafford Cripps, former British Chancellor of the Exchequer, is suffering from a spine infection, and will need prolonged rest and treatment in Swiss mountains, Lady Cripps stated at Zurich to-flay. , Sir Stafford is confined to his bed in a Zurich nursing home, and has to lie flat on his back. The infection was discovered pn his previous visit to Switzerland. It was as a result of this that he resigned as Chancellor. Lady Cripps said that the physicians were confident of a complete cure.
