ATTACK BEATEN OFF (Rec. 10.30) NEW DELHI, Nov. 21, The Nepalese Embassy announced to-day that about 200 raiders yesterday attacked Jhapa, 170 miles south-east of Katmandu, near the Indian border. The attack lasted three hours.

The embassy communique said: “Our troops fought with the raiders, who retreated toward Gauriganj, west of Jhapa. The raiders lost two killed. Two Sten-guns were captured.” Reuter.
