MINE DISPUTE AT HUNTLY
ROTOWARO WORKERS MEET MANAGEMENT (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Aug. 22. Terms for the settlement of the dispute which has kept the Rotowaro mine idle since Friday were discussed between the management and workers’ representatives to-day. At a meeting at the mine to-morrow morning the workers’ delegates will recommend acceptance of the offer made by the management. At a meeting at the Alison mine this morning the miners decided to stop for the day in sympathy with the workers at the’ Rotowaro mine. They are expected to resume work tomorrow morning. The taking of evidence on the Pukemiro- - coalmine dispute was completed by the ' Government-appointed tribunal at the Rotowaro mine office to-day. The tribunal will meet at Huntly to-morrow morning to endeavour to reach a finding.
