Mr J. Carr (Methven) has been reelected unopposed for a further three years to represent Ward A, between the Rangitata and Rakaia rivers, on the board of directors of the Midland Co-operative Dairy Company. , Messrs N. W. Corbett (president), W. H. Sarney (vice-president), E. A. Cockroft (secretary), A,. A. Todd and H. D. Johnston will represent the Ashburton Rotary Club at the annual assembly at the Fortieth Rotary district at Timaru on Monday and Tuesday. About 25 members of the club will travel to Timaru by motor-bus to hear the address of the secretary of Rotary International, Mr P. Lovejoy, of America, on Monday evening. The Canterbury Education Board yesterday reappointed Mr J. K. Mather as its representative on the Ashburton Technical High School Board for another three years. Mr James S. McLauchlan has been appointed to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation (through poor health) of Mr Andrew Brown.
