MALAY TERRORISTS

ATTACK ON OFFICIAL CAR (Rec. 10.45) SINGAPORE, Aug. 15. Terrorists clashed with security forces in Kedah, Pahang and Johore last night and to-day. Five terrorists and one Malay soldier were killed. British troops ambushed a terrorist party in Negrisembilan, killing two and wounding others. A European rubber estate assistant was fatally wounded by terrorist gunmen in Kedah yesterday. The wife of the district officer in Pahang is missing following a jungle road attack by terrorists on a car in which she, her husband and a European police cadet were travelling. Thirty Communists attacked the car, the occupants of which fired back and then dashed for cover at the roadside. They held off the raiders while the cadet ran to the nearest police nost, returning with an escort. He found the husband wounded and the wife missing.
