ASHBURTON WINS AT W AIM ATE
Ashburton exhibitors scored. a number of successes at the Waimate •Poultry Show yesterday. Mr G. H. Nicoll, of Ashburton, was judge of the poultry section. Included among awards to Ashbur* ton entrants were the following : Poultry—Special for best Orpington: E. Zohrab. Special for best Hamburg: L. Skilling. Class prizes: Hamburgs, golden, cock, R. S. Skilling 1, G. C. Grice 2; hen, L. Skilling 1, R. S. Skilhng 2, G. C. Grice 3; cockerel, L. Skilling 2, R. S. Skilling 3; pullet, L. Skilling 1 and 3, G. C. Grice 2. Utility* Section—Leghorn, cockerel: J. A. Taylor 3. Black Orpington pullet: E. Zohrab 1.
Bantams—Black Rosecomlj pullet: Renner Bros. 1, J. A. Taylof 2 Pekin cockerel: O. A. Spicer 1; pullet, O. A. Spicer 3. Black Pekin cockerel: B. Suttie ,1.
